Getting Started in Hotel Tycoon 2

Hotel Tycoon 2 on Roblox starts smaller than the name suggests. You do not inherit a skyscraper. You claim a plot, name a hotel, and wait for a guest to walk in so you can click them. This page is the first-hour route for the Lycke BETA (place 114639020543523). Keep the first-hour checklist open if you want a tick list instead of prose.

Claim a plot and create a save

Join from the official Roblox page. Servers hold six players. If every plot is taken, hop. Stand on an empty lot and claim it, then create a new save so you are not loading someone else’s half-built corridor.

Pick a region if the menu offers one. Creators often start in a UK-style lot; the HUD and catalogs stay the same. Then pick a starter style:

• Modern — clean walls, easy lighting, the usual first choice.
• Basic — cheaper looking shell, still a full hotel loop.
• Fancy — heavier decoration out of the gate, not faster cash.

Name the hotel. Guests do not care about the name; you will see it on signs later. Confirm and wait. The first visitor spawns at the entrance, not inside a room.

The first guest

The official how-to-play text is short on purpose:

1. Serve guests by clicking them.
2. Let them sleep and use hotel activities.
3. Collect payment when they check out.
4. Build, expand, and upgrade.

In practice: click the guest, walk them to a room that already has a bed, and choose the bed. If you only have two starter rooms, do not wander into build mode until both are assigned or you will leave people in the lobby.

After sleep, the room is dirty. That is not a bug. Carry linens in a basket to the washer, then remake the bed. The laundry HUD can show 0x when the machine is empty. Checkout cash only appears after the stay finishes — standing next to a sleeping guest does not print money.

Spend the first payouts

Cash sits next to Diamonds in the HUD. Early payouts should buy, in order:

1. A second or third bed if the starter rooms feel tight.
2. A washer / laundry kit if you do not have a clean loop.
3. A bathroom once overnight stays begin.
4. Nothing from Outdoor art until those three exist.

Hire when your hands are full

When you miss a guest because you were in the washer, hire a Janitor. When you want to stay in the catalog, hire a Bellhop. Both have level 5 badges. Codes, scripts, and friends

Check the codes hub once. There may be nothing live. If a string exists, redeem it before you spend Robux. Scripts can click the loop for you; they will not place furniture. Read scripts only after you understand laundry.

Friends can join the same 6-player server. Split door duty and laundry until NPCs exist. Etiquette and shared cash rules: multiplayer.

First-hour failure modes

• Guests stuck in the lobby — no free bed, or the path is blocked by a wall you just placed.
• Star rating falling — dirty rooms and missing trash. Open the star checklist.
• No cash after a crowd — you never collected checkout, or you never remade the bed so the next guest never started.
• Wrong game — nine employee buttons and a restaurant. Leave; that is not this BETA.
