Hotel Tycoon 2 Multiplayer

Hotel Tycoon 2 servers hold six players. That is small enough to run a real co-op hotel and small enough that one extra decorator ruins the sidewalk. This page is how to share a plot without fighting over the same guest. NPC staff still matter; they are not a seventh friend. See staff roles.

VIP / private servers are not enabled on this universe. You play public 6-player shards. If a plot is full, hop.

What is shared

• The hotel grid, rooms, and outdoor lot
• Checkout cash that funds the plot
• Star rating on the hotel (3/4/5 Star Owner is about the plot)

What is not shared

• Diamonds on each Roblox account
• Gamepasses and auto-collect
• Codes (each account redeems once)
• ALPHA / BETA trophies and the 100-day streak
• Top Bellhop / Top Janitor if only the owner can press upgrade — treat upgrades as owner work unless you confirmed otherwise after a patch

Job split that works

Until NPCs exist:

1. Door — clicks guests, assigns beds. How to play.
2. Laundry — baskets and washer.
3. Build — only one person in the catalog. Build mode.

After a Janitor and Bellhop are hired, humans should all be builders or badge hunters. Three people clicking the same NPC is a cartoon.

Rules worth saying out loud

• One treasurer. Shared cash dies when three people buy umbrellas. Spend order: how to make money.
• No pools on the entrance sidewalk.
• Do not sell the only wall someone else is using as a corridor.
• Pause autofarm if anyone is dragging grid pieces. Macros plus live edits trap guests.
• If the elevator keypad is open, nobody else should be stuffing Outdoor tiles into the shaft — how to expand.

Lag and the cap

Six avatars plus NPC staff plus a glass tower is enough to stutter on low-end devices. If friends are only hanging out, ask two to leave. This is not a club world. Favorites and visits on the Roblox page are huge; your shard is still six.

Codes and passes in co-op

Call out a live string from the codes hub in chat, then each person opens how to redeem. Do not assume the owner’s redeem filled everyone else’s Diamonds.

After the session

Saves are plot-based. Agree who owns the hotel before you invest an hour of decoration. If the owner leaves for a week, stars can fall when laundry stops — star checklist.

Voice chat is not supported on this experience, so job calls happen in text or Discord. Write “door / laundry / build” in chat at join. If nobody claims laundry, dirty rooms will silently drop stars while three people argue about umbrellas.

New friends should run Getting Started on their own plot once so they know what a washer looks like. Teaching the loop on your trophy hotel is how walls get sold.

If the owner has to leave, park a Janitor and a Bellhop and stop placing Outdoor pieces. A half-built pool in the doorway is worse than a small clean hotel.
