S-tier is not “Bellhop is better than Janitor.” They solve different queues. The only S-tier mistake is hiring neither.
Why Janitor is S
Dirty beds block stays. Stays are cash. A washer without a human or a Janitor still needs a click. Once two or more rooms turn over, the basket walk steals your reception time. The Janitor buys that time back. Start XP toward level 5 the same day you hire; the badge is uncommon.
If laundry furniture is missing, the Janitor cannot invent a machine. Place one from the Laundry catalog first — rooms list and build mode.
Why Bellhop is S
The official loop starts with “click guests.” A Bellhop is that click, on a loop, while you drag corridors. Public sessions hire one right after the first corridor extension so expansion does not starve the door. Level 5 is Top Bellhop — thousands of awards, not a freebie.
A Bellhop into a dirty room is wasted. Pair with a Janitor or with your own laundry clicks.
Why you are still A-tier
Until two beds exist, NPCs are a wage on an empty shop. Click the first guests yourself. Getting Started and how to play are that job.
Why duplicates are B
Six humans can already split door and laundry. A second NPC of the same type is a luxury for wide floor plates. Buy extra beds first — how to make money. On solo plots, one of each is enough through 3-star.
Why other employees are C
Guides that mention chefs, juice specialists, or three receptionists are describing LeBus Hotel Tycoon 2. They do not exist on this place. Ignore them so you do not hunt a missing panel. Confirm on official links.
Upgrade order
- Hire the role you need.
- Add beds if cash is sitting.
- Put spare cash into level 5, not into a duplicate hire.
- Recheck stars — star rating list.
Scripts overlap staff. If an autofarm is already remaking beds, a Janitor is still useful as backup when the loader breaks after a patch.
If a patch adds a third employee, it will land below Bellhop and Janitor until we see a badge and a real duty. Do not invent a chef because another wiki has one.
Night sessions with only a Bellhop and no washer still fail: escorts into dirty rooms tank stars. Pair this list with the star checklist rather than treating staff as a skip for laundry furniture.
